Bowood’s Championship golf course is located between the towns of Chippenham and Calne in Wiltshire. Having passed through the Golden Gates of Bowood’s grand entrance, you know you are somewhere special. Set in 2000 acres of Grade I listed parkland mapped out by the fashionable 18th century designer, Capability Brown, lies the championship golf course.

Designed by Dave Thomas, renowned architect of The Belfry, this former Challenge Tour venue can provide a stiff challenge when played form the blue tees, at 7309 yards. The course can be enjoyed by the club golfer when playing from the white (6878 yards) or yellow tees (6566 yards).

The beautifully manicured course blends perfectly with the wooded and undulating countryside. The course gives a genuine feeling of getting away from it all, with lovely views towards the Wiltshire downs. The only buildings visible from the course are the Club House, Queenwood Golf Lodge and Derry Hill church spire.

Bowood is a golf course which requires a thoughtful approach, but it is not one on which any golfer should lose a bagful of balls!
